@redsjack3 when you threw 68 what was your age and weight versus 84?..the real trick is getting someone from 82 -83 to 88-90.

there's two majorly different styles. Tall and fall and low and drive. Pitchers very tall like Randy Johnson typically use a tall and fall technique, while shorter guys (5'10" - 6' 2" use a low and drive technique)

i didnt, i ordered his stuff and watched the dvd's. i went from average jv pitcher, to varsity #2 last year. not only is my velocity up, my curveball is a lot tighter, and my change up is improved as well, his stuff is worth it.

how did u meet with him?

Dude, Dick knows what hes doing, he helped me go from 68mph to 84, that is insane

do you really get 20 mph by improving mechanics?

you need to tell the 13 year old on the right to stay tall..he starts with his right knee bent and it only gets worse..way to point out that mistake Dick
Staying tall is one of the biggest misconceptions about correct pitching mechanics. How do you drive the body sideways fast by staying tall. You must get some flexion in the back leg to get the body lower so the back leg goes from a flexed position to a fully extended position just before landing. That is a key to improving velocity.
You may start tall but as soon as the lead foot pivots in front of the rubber the back leg must flex to get the pitcher lower so he can drive. Dick Mills
