Sweeney Todd Official Movie Trailer

Tim Burton has directed an adaptation of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd for the big screen. It stars Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd, Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin, Sacha Baron Cohen as Signor Adolfo Pirelli, and Laura Michelle Kelly as Lucy Barker (Todd). It is slated for nationwide U.S. release on December 21, 2007. The nationwide UK release date is due to be 25th January 2008.

Just performed the song for a concert & I heard it was a movie with Johnny Depp (Yaaay) so I came to check it out. It seems......nice. Love the fact that they made a horror movie come out on Christmas. LMFAO.

when i saw this movie i was 11 and the blood was the last thing i thought about! i even cried in the end 'cause i felt bad 4 him!! i was also distracted by the wonderful music and by johnny's hotness =Q_____

Great movie. Great actors, not only Johnny Depp (though of course his performance is outstanding). Great musical. Nice trailer..

Mh, of course the blood looked a bit fake, but for me, it fits in perfectly. I strongly believe it was meant to look overdone as it's a great contrast to all that black and white and to their very pale skin colour. Burton surely knows how real blood looks, he overdid it on purpose to make the look of his movie (his piece of art, don't forget!) perfect.
