  • The angles are the altitude, caused by latitude and the suns position at midday. 90 means the sun is overhead (Like in the Tropics), complete sunset is -0.8 as the sun is 1.6 degrees wide. At Auckand the summer solstice is worked out to 23.5-36.9 = -13.4, we minus this figure from 90 and get 76.6, winter is always 47 lower, so Newcastle at 55 north is58.5 in summer, 35 at the equinox and a low 11.5 in winter. 45 means the shadow is same length as yourself.

  • Really good princette. I like that you are showng the temperatures etc. I dunno how you measure the sun angles (*the other figure?). I can defo see the changes. Also I note the intense blueness of the sky and of the sun....and its seems to be always sunny. Its very green too (the grass not the sun!!!!)
