@PKMN1578 Really good question mate! at level 29 speccing as protection you unlock an ability called Warbringer. This allows the use of charge and intercept in defensive stance. When you are lower than 29 or dont have it talented (you should spec for it) you can begin the fight in battlestance, charge, swap to defensive, and tank as normal. Having a good keybind for your stances helps a lot here. And I hope Ive helped you out :)

Why is Heroic strike a good threat builder? isnt devastate the best for single target??

@Drewz3r0 heroic strike doesnt trigger a global cooldown so you can spam it as it works of the speed of your main hand weapon and yes devastate does a lot of threat but that triggers a GCD so when you have alot of rage, alot of people say 60+ but on raid bosses just spam it anyway use heroic trike reguardless and devastate just to fill in the missing GCDs
