Lattice Technique
Prepare recipe from the (Pie Crust Part 1) video
1. Roll out the dough of a single crust pie large enough to just over lap the edge of the pie pan.
2. Cut 3/4" strips, using a pizza cutter or if you are lucky to have a flutted wheel cutter designed just for this purpose use that.
If you want to cover something small with a lattice crust than the strips should be relative to the size of what you are covering. In this video I am preparing a lattice for a 10" pie.
3. Please follow the directions in the video for placing the strips. Doing it is not difficult, explaining it is impossible.

  • Genius! This is our first year as a married couple and I am making a cherry lattice pie for Thanksgiving and I was so nervous until I watched your video!

  • @MarjoriesCandies: Thanks :D

  • So do I put the Lattice on the pie after fixing it on the metal sheet, or do I construct the lattice on top of the pie?
