New year wishes with sky lanterns II

Sky lanterns are messages to the gods. They work on the basis that hot air rises, so things get more spectacular in cold weather, such as around the new year :). Burning prayer papers which have been dipped in kerosene heat up the air in a paper-covered wire frame, and up it goes. The method of getting sky lanterns to rise that's shown here is way easier than the way we did it before:

In this video the seller lights a sky lantern which has wishes written on it, then lets it go. The side nearest the camera says "good health".
