Karl Watt (real-life Evo-6 TME driver) drives the surprisingly much slower HKS Evo 9 round the 'ring in my home-made G25-style driving sim created from the wreck that was my Mk6 Escort-van, and a few bits of wood I found in my garage, plus a 'Joywarrior' MOD A8-16 input module. The seat is from my dead Nissan 200SX, game is running on my Acer Aspire 9920 laptop, screen is a 50" Sony, Music is JFK's Whiplash.

Its a work in progress, so its still pretty ugly, but it cost less than £50.

  • very nice video mate..clever man..take me hat of for u..anyways u know the handbrake u said is from a van does it have the sensor thing to plug like the honda s2000 handbrake? an how much does it cost? thanks mate

  • The handbrake lever was from the same Escort Van as the pedal gear was taken off. There's a switch on it to activate the handbrake light on the dash, I just used that switch as a 'button' on the controller to activate handbrake in-game. Means its either on or off, but it worked pretty good. A heavy spring to put up some resistance would have made it more realistic, or a potentiometer to make the h-brake more gradual. Cost about £50 in all.

  • nice setup how much would you chrage to build me one.. lol

  • LoL probably more than its worth!! I just couldnt afford a G25 at the time - the rest is just MDF and scrap off old cars. The potentiometers are twitchy and the calibration is a pain in the arse. I'm slowly building another one, so keep an eye out for that!

  • That is really good, i am very impressed!

  • Cheers Bud, I've ripped it all apart again to rehash it all, just to make it a lot more accurate and heavier duty. :D
