I fan-subbed this trailer for a German family comedy that was released in 2006 titled "Hui Buh". The character of Hui Buh originated in a series of German radio plays and was voiced for more than 20 years by the late Hans Clarin (who plays a role in the movie).
On a Friday the 13th, in 1399, a knight by the name of Balduin cheats in a game of poker and inherits a castle belonging to his opponent Adolar. Suspecting that he cheated, Adolar and the other player confront him but Balduin is eventually struck by lightning and turns into a ghost. Startled by the presence of a ghost, Adolar backs away into a window and falls out the window to the moat far, far below.
Some 500 years later, King Julius the 111th arrives to inherit the castle where he will marry Countess Leonora. Hui Buh, whose castle has been left undisturbed for 500 years, tries to scare the new guests away but is unsuccessful. Julius, who is annoyed at Hui Buh's attempt to sabotage the welcoming dinner, burns up Hui Buh's Spooking Licence and Hui Buh is then confronted by Daalor, a Ghost City employee, who allows Hui Buh two nights to complete his Ghost Exam and renew his Spooking Licence.
Hui Buh and Julius embark on a journey to Ghost City so that Hui Buh can once again become the only officially accredited ghost of Burgeck Castle. Meanwhile at the castle, Countess Leonora has a plan to kill the mortals who now inhabit Burgeck Castle...
I claim no ownership to any element of this production except for my translation.
