Jill Jones is correct in saying that education is not a TED Talk (Higher Ed). However, it should be! She asks about "How do we transform learning?" By having engaging mentors and teachers. Talking heads are not engaging. I am not qualified to tell you the percentage of higher ed faculty who don't produce engaging experiences, but I've had several encounters. My opinion is that her presentation was not engaging. On the opposite side I can listen to Khan give a TED talk or a class on any subject.
