  • shit man you have some great synths. good job on your sequence too. how do you find the AnalogueSolutions Vostok? do you feel the oscillators sound as good as the doepfer? thanks . . p.s. @ 2:30 your cat is friggin scary looking like some kind of Egyptian hairless tron bot.. IDK thought you should know.

  • thanks, friend ) Vostok is very unique synth with its very unique personal sound as you know. I think its oscillators are much wider and 3D sounding than Doepfer (not worse, just different) but they are not perfectly stable I noticed, especially when you sync them and then disconnect the syncing, they remember the last played pitch while synced, so you need to sync and disconnect it again to bring them to normal pitch default (but this bug is mentioned in the manual).

  • Vostok's main sound feature is filter...I cannot explain it in words (as I am russian haha) but you can hear it yourself very well, it is scary and beautiful at the same time )

P.S. yieh! my cat is also very unique )) it is Canadian Sphinx breed..

  • "I think its oscillators are much wider and 3D sounding than Doepfer" yea i havent had a chance to program one yet but I am thinking about getting it soon :) I was hesitant at first due to the pin connection but now I am really interested in the strange configuration i can explore. I am sure your cat knows all to well the strange sounds this box can create . . lol Peace

  • You should not be hesitant about pins connections as it is just alternative and versatile way of patching (it is vintage EMS Synthi style), besides it is limited, so consider it as a bonus. And 100% all possible connections are available at jack socket patch points and they are not interfered with pins connections, so you have doubled possibility of experimenting ))

    Peace!
