Waking to a picture

Dreaming of a photograph being taken a long time ago,
A memory in the deepest place in my mind.
I can barely see it now, but it's there.
Trying to see this picture more clearly is a hard task,
Being the visual superstar that I am,
This is making me frustrated.

I take a long walk to clear my head,
Thinking of you and what you've gone through.
I thought I was the only tortured soul around here,
But I was wrong, you too have been up and down the same rollercoaster that has been tossing me around for years now.
It hurts to know such a beautiful soul has been through what I have,
If not more.
How can others do those types of things to us?
We are a gentle kind, my dad calls me a sucker. Ha.
He speaks truth.

Getting out of bed has become harder these days,
As I know of the challenges I face for the coming day.
It's yet to be determined how it's supposed to be for me,
I believe I bring my own problems onto myself.
I also believe that I don't deserve them.
It makes it easier for me to put the blame on something besides myself.

The day is fresh and this memory isn't a memory at all,
It's a picture from the future.
It's a picture of you and I,
Hand in hand walking in the park on a nice fall day.
I'm glad I'm a part of this picture,
It gives me hope, give me something to get out of bed in the morning.
One of these days, it will be easier, you'll see.
We can make it easier for each other,
As long as we have each other.

I will await that day with baited breath.
