@bammybound I thought it was the Miami-Penn State Fiesta Bowl.
-
To my knowledge this is still the most watched college football game in television history...It was like 24 million people

Look at how clean and pure that intro is. No Home Depot or GEICO ads to be seen.

Any idea who was #2 and #3 at the time?
-
@covrunner The refs were from the big 10 stupid!
-
@Irishfanism Actually your wrong. Lou lost his very last game as a Notre Dame coach to USC 27-20 in ot.
-
#18 Notre Dame!
-
@rapiddominace I bet Ohio State would rather forget the past few months :)

@umcane79 Its possible but there's no way to know that that would've happened (granted I'm not sure how much time was left when that fumble occured.) However, the fact is that Notre Dame won. Miami also had 7 turnovers, and Miami fans tend to get caught up in that one play as the reason for their loss.

@covrunner Maybe, but with more time on the clock, whos to say Miami wouldnt have gone for the extra point to tie, then kick off to Notre Dame to stop or force a turnover in which they did, then hit the field goal to win. Plus the Notre Dame fumble was legit, Gary's was not, thats what changes everything.
Since CBS has the rights to the Sun Bowl and all, can they just hire back Brent Musberger to really bring back the memories, like when he always seemed to get upset when mentioning the Hurricanes...
