Neighborhood Bridges is a nationally recognized in-school residency program which uses creative drama and storytelling to enhance students writing, acting and critical thinking skills. The program originated at the Childrens Theatre Company in Minneapolis, MN and was introduced to Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in 2005. Since then, the Neighborhood Bridges program has been implemented in 40 classrooms in the Charlotte area.
This video highlights portions of the classroom residency through the 2008-09 school year. In 2009-10, the Neighborhood Bridges program is supported by Target and the Arts & Science Council.
