I like the way Leah sang this song

@magicmike96 It was only available on albums downloaded through iTunes.

I prefer this to Guilty ones. It's more haunting and symbolic (the pirates', the violets the willows)... TGO is more obvious in its meaning.

The 1st is Wendla, the 2nd is Melchior, 3rd is Wendla (then the girls join in), 4th is Melchior and the boys join. The 5th the boys sing (the girls kind of echo). You can find a recording around here from the off-Broadway version.

i think the 1st verse is Melchi and Wendla.
and the 2nd verse is Moritz and Ilse.
idk idk, just me
I love the Guilty Ones, and I understand why this was cut. However, it is incredibly symbolic to the relationship between Melchior and Wendla. Wendla is the innocent madien searching for love, Melchior is the pirate who kept searching for knowledge and answers so much that he unwittingly had people hurt along the way.

Love this song, but am getting a bit freaked out by the electronic noises zooming around in the background. Trippy.
