Nick's POV
Wow, I can't believe she's been thinking about me all night. After I made a fool of myself earlier and everything, and yet she still can't get me out of her mind. That's unbelievable. Truth is I feel the same about her. After she ran inside her house earlier before I even had a shot at saying anything, I was completely humiliated. I felt like I must have scared her at Pinkberry and she found me to be revolting. I drove home with Kevin and Joe and the whole time Joe was talking about how beautiful Jeanie is and how amazing they would be together.He might have even said something about their future kids but, I was to disappointed to really listen to him. I just gave an occasional nod and smile so that he got the impression I was listening. There's not really much you can say when Joe's ranting anyway. We got home and I immediately went up to my room to think. I picked up my guitar and started strumming. there's nothing like letting your feelings out by writing a song. I strummed the same cord progression over and over. I was feeling it but no words were coming to me. I decide I would go see if Kevin could come up with some lyrics.
Regular POV
Kevin- Come in
Nick- Hey Kev, I think I found a good melody for a verse but I can't think of any lyrics.
Kevin- Ok, let's hear it
Nick plays the melody and Kevin can tell by the way Nick was looking at the carpet and the way he was strumming that something was wrong. Nick finishes and looks up at Kevin as if he snapped out of his thoughts
Kevin- Wow, Nick that was really good. I honestly couldn't think of any lyrics though. There's something about that melody..... just wondering, what were you thinkin of when you wrote it?
Nick- Nothing, it just came to me
Kevin- Yeah, sure. So this melody that "just came to you" was it called Aurora?
Nick sighs- Yes. I can't get her out of my head. I mean I haven't even known her a day and I know almost nothing about her but, there was a feeling I got when she was a close. I good feeling, you know? It just felt...right. Like when I first met Selena or Miley
Kevin- Whoa, dude. That's a lot to put on her shoulders. Besides I don't think Aurora seems like the kind of girl Miley is. Not by a long shot.
Nick- I didn't say she's like Miley I said I got the same feeling as when I was first around Miley. And I don't know, it might have even been a stronger feeling.
Kevin- So why didn't you ask for her number or something?
Nick gets a little worked up- that's the thing! She ran inside her house before I could even say anything! I must have really freaked her out a Pinkberry. I've never been so rejected by someone before.
Kevin- Well, I don't know what to tell you about her except, if the feeling was as strong as you say it was and if it's truly meant to be, then love will find a way to bring you two together. And as for the song, I don't think you'll find any lyrics that are right, yet. You can't write the story till it's finished, and I have a feeling this one hasn't ended. So just hold on to that melody in your heart, it may come in handy some day.
Nick knew Kevin was right- Thanks Kevin.
Kevin- No problem bro
Nick got up and took his guitar back to his room. He laid back on his bed feeling so small and just wanting to sleep but all that crossed his mind were thoughts of Aurora. After a few hours or so he drifted off into sleep.
Nick's POV
I'm sitting on my front porch waiting for Aurora. I can't wait to see her tonight. It's our 2 year anniversary. I'm so excited. I love her so much. WE are such a strong couple, and I know this relationship will last. Here she comes! What is she wearing... she has a pink tank top on that's low enough to show her lime green bra. And she's wearing a long straight blonde wig. What the crap! She walks up to me without any pants on and her lips are sticking out as if she's pouting. "Nick, I probably shouldn't say this but nothing is ever going to change until you hear the 7 things I hate about you" She thrusts her finger right on my chest over and over and it's like I could feel the bruise forming underneath the pressure point. Then when she finished her sentence she took one good breath and swung her hand so that she smacked me hard enough to turn my head. Right then I sat up in bed screaming, "SHE'S NOT MILEY!"I tried to catch my breathe after that awful dream. Whoa, that was weird... I decided to go to my usual place on the beach to clear my head. I got up and put my converse on. I carelessly shoved my phone in my pocket, just in case, and made my way to the beach. I sat right by the tide. As I was staring out at the reflection of the moon on the water, someone triped over my legs and fell into the wet sand. I grab their arm to help them up. I look at the stranger's face only to find the girl I'd been thinking about all night in my hands. I let go while staring at her in amazement while Kevin's words come back to me, "love will find a way to bring you two together".
