Humor is a great way to start a speech

It does several things: * It helps relax you * It helps relax the audience * It makes a connection between you and the audience right away.

Now I know a lot of you think you are not funny and you cannot tell jokes. Well I get that from a lot of adults too. Like many things in public speaking it does take some practise.

If you can't think of a funny way to start a speech you can try this opening which you can use in almost any speech.

Could everyone please stand up. Now sit down. There was no reason for me to do that I just love the power I have when standing in front of an audience.

    For the last motherfucking Goddamn cunting shitting pissing time. HE IS AUSTRALIAN!!! AUSTRALIA USES THE BRITISH SYSTEM OF SPELLING!!! What's wrong with you people?

  • @0lilKayde0 google the word first before giving a comment

  • wait, that was a joke?

  • "humour": British

    "humor": American English

  • relax? if i told them to stand up then sit down... Thats not funny its just annoying

  • @0lilKayde0 L?

  • @OrangeRust

    For the last effing time, the man is an Australian. In Australia, British spelling is used; thus, it is 'humour'.

  • @0lilKayde0 He actually spelled "humor" right.

  • @0lilKayde0 he did on prupose so that he can 'try' and use humour at the same time. Sorta like a pun
