The "I'm a Christian. Check Out My Cross, Homie." Game

Many famous people wear the cross around their necks or tattoo it somewhere on their body but do not glorify God in their body. Let's not do the same.



What does the Cross mean exactly?

"...without the shedding of blood, there is no remission (forgiveness) of sins."

(Hebrews 9:22)


Only by the shed blood of Jesus Christ does ANYONE have remission for their sins. There's no other way to the Father but by Him. EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES in Him shall never perish but have eternal life. (Note that it doesn't say EVERYONE in general, but EVERYONE WHO BELIVES and repents.

Do you hold that Jesus Christ is in Heaven?

If so, why do you believe someone has the right to break this commandment when they wear a figure of Jesus around their neck?:

You shall not make unto yourself any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,... (Exo 20:4a)

Stop being religious the cross is an image of God and later in the verse it says that God wont tolerate our affection for any other gods. We are worshiping God. The cross is a sign of Jesus so all our affection is still goin to God. That verse relates to physical and spiritual idle like Drugs, Sex, Seccular Music, Money, Possesions, and any other thing that satan puts in our way. And read Matthew 23 it talks about how religous leaders gave rule but dont follow them. Kinda what you are doing

Yes, it does. Are you familiar with the golden calf that the people at the bottom of Mt. Sanai were worshiping but claimed that they weren't and were really worshiping God? They basically said, "We aren't worshiping some trinket. We're worshiping God." I hope you know what happened to them as a result...

This last week I asked two people wearing crosses if they were Christian and both answered 'no'. One person said they were not Christian but wore it "because of beliefs" which is a statement I can't find any meaning in, and the other said, "I'm spiritual but I'm not into the Bible." So the cross worn around the neck cannot be taken as proof of anything. "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." (Matt 16:24)

The cross is an instument of death. If you were the Messiah and someone killed you with a gun. Would you like your followers walking around with a tatoo of guns or a necklace with an assault rifle? I believe in Christ but the graven images don't mean anything. Jesus is what matters. He is risen.

im a christian and although i don't wear a cross i don't think there is anything wrong with it.

We are all sinful people and i don't think we should judge artists like 50 cent as we don't know whats in his heart. That is for God to do as he will judge each of us. DMX might do a lot of wrong but so do each of us and all sins are equal so were all guilty and can't judge him. DMX has just as much right to wear a cross as does anyone else on earth.
