Courtney Hawkins was a all-star wide receiver at his high school at Michigan State and for 9 years in the NFL. The down and depressed area of Flint, where he grew up, was always searching for a positive influence. After retiring from the NFL he came home to coach his high school to make a difference on the field and off it with life lessons he learned from his mother and former coach.
It good that former superstar players from my era in Flint are coming back to coach. It's hard to believe that Flint has decayed that much.

Way to go Courtney, sound like a little Moses Lacey during that halftime talk. Good to see the team doing what we know best winning and being proud of themselves!!!

thanks for recognizing Courtney's extraordinary efforts - Flint needs more people like him. thanks to Courtney for doing something that few would be willing to take on.
