why not? if you sample high quality drums and put them on a drum machine youll get the same sound just in the control of your figure tips rather than your arms. i know people who can play drums sick on a synthesizer just like the real thing. of course nothing can compare to the original but its pretty damn close. i still think a drummer is anybody who plays the drums whether their organic or digital. a drum machine can eliminate human error and also allows to do things a regular drum kit couldnt

So what???! That's like calling a song "The Pianist" and having someone jamming away on a synth guitar. A synthesizer is not a piano. Years of practice to learn how to play the drums well, learning how to read music, training of the body and mind. You're entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is based on zero appreciation for the instrument. The drum is a dynamic percussive instrument - you don't get that on a drum machine. Sorry.
