@abzde Actually it is quit legal to take Pismo Clams at Pismo Beach. I think that there was a time when it was closed, but it is open now. By the looks of the beach that they were on, it was Pismo. Sand, nothing but sand, and more sand and.....

Pismo is the name of the clam. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to collect clams on Pismo Beach.
