Such an underrated piece. Never learned it while taking lessons but decide to learn it myself a few years go. I don't ever get bored of playing it.

My mother used to play this. It was used very well in the film "The Lover" based on Duras' book "The North China Lover". I'd think it's towards the end when she's on a boat. I'd love to see that scene again. Can somebody post it?

this gives me goosebumps. It's a phenomenal piece of music, haunting and mesmerizing at the same time. I admire anyone that can play this because the tempo gets nuts towards the end.
