  • Sad time is spent on this. If you don't agree with marriage equality, don't marry someone of the same sex! As a school teacher, I don't ever recall reading/citing the words..."with liberty and justice for ALL" and seeing the word, "except". Separate but equal does not, has not and should not work. We can not "eenie meenie miney moe" through our neighborhoods and point to who is allowed marriage or not. As a christian and American, I am for equality, love, and celebration for all human life.

  • Can we all, including the GLBT community, stop hating? The comments about the participants in the video are not helping defeat Amendment One. Gay or Lesbian, it doesn't matter.

  • @GodsSonJasonJ No red herring, I didn't bring up dogs, cats, flag poles, etc, only adult people. If you support the change of marriage to *no longer* mean the union of a man and a woman, but *instead* mean the union of two adults who love each other and desire to be in a committed union known as marriage, then it is discriminatory to exclude any two adults who love each other and desire to be married just because you don't particularly agree with their love. That would make you a hypocrit.

  • Minxcomix, I will happily discuss each marriage equality topic individually and on their own merits. Once ludicrous comparisons of father and daughter, dog and cats, flag poles and horses are brought in, (a big red herring) it's a hypothetical exchange and like I said, am not going to try and make sense out of (hypothetical) non-sense. God bless you.

  • @GodsSonJasonJ You sound intolerant towards a love you don't personally agree with. A bit 'bigamistphobic' or 'incestphobic' don't you think? Do you hate those who love differently then you?

Sorry for the gentle sarcasm, just making a point. I understand your pov, but if we do change marriage to mean the union of two consenting adults who love each other, then we cannot discriminate against any type of love just because we personally find it to have an 'ew' factor. That would be hypocritical

  • @GodsSonJasonJ Society supports marriage because marriage offers a unique benefit to society. But there is a push to change this. There are some, including yourself, that wish to make marriage not about the union of man/woman and the unique benefits that such a union contributes to society (where there is no discrimination), but rather to make marriage about two adults who love each other, and then to include discrimination as to what sort of love should be acceptable or not, creating inequality

  • Minxcomix, I am certainly not going to spend time trying to make sense out of nonsense. If you are comparing two consenting non related adults in love to polygamy and incest than I think we are finished here. God bless you and good luck with your rationales on the next person.

  • @GodsSonJasonJ Many people cannot legally marry who they love. Those with same sex attraction do not have the corner on that. Kody Brown can not marry many that he loves. A father/dtr in love with each other have no right to legally marry (BlueMapleLeaf blogspot). Societal/govt support of marriage has nothing to do with a couple loving each other. A couple can marry when they have no love for each other and still be legally married, inadvisable as that is. Love is a great asset, but not a req.

  • @reidandwayne The point remains the same. Since science has yet to provide facts on the matter I will not agree or disagree with you.

  • @Minxcomix it is sexual orientation not preference...just like brown eyes, blue eyes, etc. You are BORN (oriented)

    gay not preferred....

  • @NCarolinaEquality most likely the fathers are in loving contact with their kids, which is more than we can say for YOUR kind of non-marriage, abusive and unequal.

  • @drewandnc the lbgt community has plenty of REAL reasons to hate those who persecute them, oppress them, torture them, second-class-citizenship them and kill them. the other way round? not so much.
