handmade homemade parlor guitar.MOV

my first homemade guitar, spruce board, maple back and sides, rosewood fingerboard ,all massiv.
nitrocellulose laquer (brushed, and that gave me a hard time)
So... after 40 years of playing guitars, i made a step further and actually build one !
It took some time and also advice from a friend who build his dreadnought some 20 years ago.
nowadays its easier to collect the knowledge via internet but proper building needs practice and that really comes slow.
this was no Stew Mac kit but all just sawed timber.
So its quite a miracle that it sounds so nice.
The guitar can hold up against other parlors and even has a unique voice of its own.
I used a american plan of a Lyon & Healy from 1920.
Just changed the headstock from open to closed.
I am satisfied with my work and allready building the next parlor,and looking forward to present it .

Sieht nach einer klasse Arbeit aus. Gratuliere. Was es heißt, eine Gitarre selber zu bauen, fange ich er jetzt langsam an zu begreifen, wo ich mich auf ein solches Projekt vorbereite und jede Menge Bücher und Internet-Beiträge lese. Was Du da zusammengebracht hast, kann sich hören und sehen lassen. Gruß aus Essen. M.
