Game Devs Kindness & Sleep

I recorded one of my old style videos where I ramble. This rambling session does have a purpose though. Why can't we be more kind to game developers and actually provide feedback to them about their games? I also share my tiredness. Thankfully, the next GDC video has me with 7 hours of sleep, which is more than what I had in about 5 days by then. :)

I agree with your main points. It's important for a reviewer to be constructive with his/her criticism so that it's clear about what could've been improved on. This is useful for both developers and readers alike.

There's nothing wrong with having a little fun by adding some clever jokes/puns in a review, but it should always remain professional.

Yeah, you're right. Game developers can sometimes spend several years of their life being completely dedicated to one thing, only for it to come out and everybody to just disregard it. It's a real shame on the developers themselves, regardless of the quality of game.

And I've been at that point deciding between sleep and video games before! It's not fun.

I know what you mean, it's why i think pirates should stop what they are doing and respect game developers for their hard work they have put in to a game. Do they not deserve our respect for the 1000 and 1000 of hours they have put in to the game not to say money, of course they do. And maybe game developers should approach the pirates and ask them to develop a anti-piracy system.
