i agree. In my opinion excessive use of rhyme is a cover for a poet who's afraid to show emotions and expose himself/herself. I feel the same way about poet's who use 3rd person speech when they are actually reffering to themselves in the poem. I did the 3rd person thing for a long time. And referencing yourself in a blunt manner is much more freeing at least in my exprience.
