Beatboxing Billie Jean: a Grant report (part 1)

Grant Anderson was involved in a serious car accident in 2007. This film was shot in January 2009 to show where Grant was at with his recovery. Grant will have improved and changed in different ways since then. In a sense therefore, while it does refer to a particular stage in Grant's recovery, it is more a document of the indomitable courage, grace, and verve of the man in general. It was shot on a basic digital camera designed for pictures more than video so forgive the ultra-grainy feel!

Three final important details, Grant is wearing hats a lot in this video for good reason, to protect a scar from surgery that was healing on the top of his head. In the impromptu music video scene Grant's inspired miming is to a recording of his own voice. And as it too briefly states at the end of the film "Cassie and Dave, you are (of course) as beloved as everyone else in the film, really sorry you weren't around for the family portrait shots, (no disrespect)".
