Drush, the powerful command-line tool for Drupal, opens up a new world of productivity and effectiveness. Installing it is easy.

Background info, including the commands and codes shown in this video, is posted at http://pingv.com/blog/video-installing-drush-on-mac-os-x -- includes some updated instructions based upon more recent developments.

I disabled the machine subtitles because they were so horrifically off.

  • The three easy steps are NOT easy. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be typing in Terminal with Nano. The Drush text file for help is convoluted and next to useless. Sorry, but this video is extremely difficult to follow.

  • Nicely done - but I agree, not exactly "easy". Thanks heaps anyway, worked for me :)

  • thanks!

  • thanks dude. works great

  • These are the best drush for mac instructions I've found. Nice work.

  • this could have helped me yesterday, i tried with homebrew which is easier to install but the path is harder to work with. I managed to get it going tho. Just a question: who plays the music featured in the video?

  • I do appreciate this video... Nice one... thanks
