RX: Sangean ATS 909 modified: 2x 150 kHz /OIRT-FM + telescope antenna

Antena 1
on 87,7 MHz from Serra do Mendro
distance Geeste - Serra do Mendro: 1973km

- Antena 1 as the one and only station via sporadic-e at that moment and I made a quick scan with our German and Dutch local radio stations untill 92,8 MHz.
- Antena 1 at the beginning with RDS-PS "ANTENA_1", at the end of my video without RDS, which I could catch again soon after filming. Reception was possible untill final fade out at precisely 17:00CET.

- Almost strong and steady signal by Antena 1 from 16:20 - 17:00 CET !

Thank you for the answer. I have another question, has this radio an external FM antenna connection?? And where can I modifie this radio for a better selectivity?? Or is the selectivity good enough in the original standard version?

What a strong signal from Antena 1!

Congratulations for your catch! Actually, this is one of the most logged (abroad via Sporadic E) Portuguese FM transmitters, because of the low frequency & high power (20 kW), but it is always interesting to get an unusual strong and stable signal, as far as your videos suggests. Did you check whether you got stereo sound (from RDP) [just to realize how strong the signal actually was]?

Actually, Antena 1 reached full signal strength on s-meter. You can see it well in another video, I have upload and linked here a few moments ago.

At that time, I haven't checked car radio, but I can imagine, that stereo reception with good signal strength and RDS would be possible there, too.

i have the radio shack 798 and it has the best fm dx anywhere! i put a cc crain and alot of older radios with hot recive they cant touch it!
