Unfairly taxing the rich is a ridiculous proposal. Instead, just take out the loopholes that allow the very wealthy and the corporations to skimp on taxes and that should be enough. Simplify the tax code and make it fair for everyone. I also find it ridiculous that he feels that the general American public is responsible for maintaining Vermont's low income heating program and community centers. Really? Kentucky doesn't get them but they have to pay for Vermont's? Sounds like a STATE issue. -_-'

@Unklebillybob We don't have a spending problem our National Govt is the smallest as a percentage of GDP in the developed world and it appears to have grown larger, when it hasn't because of the recession. We have a taxing problem, we have the lowest taxes in the developed world and still foreign CEOS kick the living bejeezus out of ours, btw the effective corporate tax rate is actually about 7-9%

We need to go flat tax and ditch tax brackets. All we get is class warfare and deficits and extreme partisan gridlock. Too many people without a horse in the race and yelling for more tax increases. Let's level the rate and we can vote on social program expansion. Right now we have people advocating for program expansion and shifting the entire funding to one tax group.

@Jonger1150 LMAO, do you get your info from Fox News? USA does not have high corporate taxes, look at Canada (who suffered the less from the economic crisis) for example... In 2009 USA was 79 / 119 according to global finance magasine. The lower 1/3 is not the highest in the world....
