Having escaped the asylum in "Silence of the Lambs," Dr Lecter goes into hiding in Florence, Italy. Back in America, Mason Verger, an old victim of the doctor's, seeks revenge. Disfigured and confined to a life-support system, he plans to draw Lecter out of his hiding place, using the one thing he truly cares for: Clarice Starling.
Part 4 of the "Hannibal Lecter" Quadrilogy.

    Its so weird in a creepy but exciting sense because Hannibal was in love with Clarice and had been free for so long he wasnt as "hungry" for ppl lol his character didnt haunt me i actually found him more likable because he was so in love with her. And they just had better chemistry on screen since the actors were already good friends

    not as good as the original, of course, but I found it thrilling. Hannibal's scenes with the italian detective are amazing. One scene in particular, in which Hannibal displays his omniscience at the opera, always haunts me, even though it's such a simple thing. I won't spoil it. Hannibal's scenes are great, it's Clarice's side of events that's lacking. It's not the same without Jodie Foster, sadly, but Gary Oldman steals the show. And the ending is just horror absurdity. Funny and frightening.
