They are trying to find a cure. But a cold is easier to control. People die more every year then the swine flu. I don't get your point? People die from all kind's of things.
-
your right they do but what about the common cold? it has killed more people each year than pig flu, should it be treated as a epidemic?
no it hasn't
but when we have a economy thats going to hell, rich are getting richer at the expense of the poor and that our gov is passing enormous spending bills and bills such as H.R. 2159
and then a little virus comes out and a few hunderd people die and a few thousand people get infected
everyone treats it like a pandemic
-
Thats because everyone has been safe. Flu epidemics start by contact.
-
umm yea its all hype people have died from it but tiny amounts of people the known case of death in the USA was from a mexican baby
-
People have died from this. I would not make assumptions.
-
ummm its also due to the fact that health care is not readily avialable in mexico and the quality of health care is almost worse than it is here in the usa. usually they can't even afford to get it, food is ususally more important than taking care of a cough or flu..ect. its suprising what they will ignore due to financial issues. polution is just an easy excuse but not the main reason for this disease being so potent. btw antibiotics are weaking people more than not having them.
-
"why are Mexicans so prone to be hit harder?" Breathing the extreme pollution in parts of Mexico over years has weakened Mexicans' immune systems - that why some of them are dying, while other countries have had no deaths.

is like chinease whisper right?

You obviously didn't listen to the guy. He said that it was unlikely that the swine influenza in Mexico has a different form to the influenza in other areas. No I don't know but, this guy thinks it's because the number of infections before the scare was high and dockers at the time weren't warned about the new influenza. They thought it was the flu so didn't take necessary action. Anyway. Medical scientists are working on vaccines and there are remedies for the virus if you catch it early.

How long before this flu mutates to the kind that kills outside of Mexico? And why are Mexicans so prone to be hit harder? Is it because it was silently spreading through the population masquerading as a "seasonal" flu? How do we protect ourselves other than by carrying around disinfectant and staying home? And what's the line between caution and panic?
its all hype, the ones that are gaining from this are the big pharma and media
