I agree bluesgeoff You have to hear the sounds in your head.Blind lemon jefferson said that.
Tab is the first step gives the notes that are being played. Otherwise the tune is nothing but a bunch of notes beyond the reach of a.beginner.
For the beginner, tab is physical practice that loosens up the fingers.
Then we can break down the songs to learn how they are structured.
After learning this basic foundation,we can then express our own thing.

Brilliant!
Great Vox as well!
Do you know where I can get the tab for this?

I love your playing, and I think you did a good job with this one.

This is so nice; beautiful playing and singing. Begging permission, a suggestion to cleanliv: you don't need a tab to learn blues; use your ears and then make your own personal interpretation; develop your own style. If you reduce this to its essential root, it is one chord on top of which you add your own embellishment; you can't learn this type of playing from tablature but must listen to the playing of others, interpret and develop.

Thanks for your comments. I both agree & disagree on tab. You have to hear the sounds in your head & know what you want, then tab can be helpful in getting chord positions and runs. I played Rev Gary Davis tunes for yrs, but til I met Ernie Hawkins many of the nuances escaped me. Of course you always make your own thing. I truly feel that these songs are mine in a very real musical sense, otherwise why play them.
