  • @Gogulancelot, a los 15 años escuche esta melodia junto a mamá viendo la pelicula de ingrid bergman con ives montand. cuando el la deja plantada en el concierto, hoy tengo 50 años y la encuentro siempre maravillosa. gracias.

  • AAAA.232433Z OCT 2008 Dear pianololita; Thank you for the comments on the video..I have two recordings on CD 1971 Sir Adrian Bolt and the LSO...And Wilhelm Furtwangler 1949 and the BPO...On both these recordings and others you will find that all strings are used at the start of this movement...It is kind to write and comment..it is a great pity that many only follow pop music and not classical...But there may one day a turning one never knows...take good care all for now.......AR.

  • Cello plays melody in the opening! That's rare; it usually goes to the higher range strings like violin, no? Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • AAAA.301527Z JUNE 2008 Dear gogulancelot; Thank you for taking the time to listen to BRAHMS Symphony No.3..As at this present time I have not seen the film sorry. But I feel it is still a really beautiful piece of music like Brahms, Schmann, ect ect..This recording is by Sir Adrian Bolt with The London Symphony Orchestra..As a matter of intrest I purchased it at a record shop in Notting Hill Gate London W8..Just up the road..Every success for the future.......AR.
