Once I moved to Los Angeles for college last year, my mom gave him away for free :(

Note: He was registered as Luigi, but I called him Andante (Andy).

  • @McKeeMargie And I would definitely call my mother a bitch if I came home to find that she had given my horse away without my consent. THAT is truly disgusting. And I certainly wouldn't fault my kids for calling me a bitch if I pulled something like that on them--but I never would. For a comparison, imagine if someone had kidnapped your kids while you were away because you didn't have time to play with them and gave them to a "good home" but you'd never see them again. That's how it would feel.

  • @McKeeMargie Clearly you are not a horse person and have no idea how incredibly devastating it would be for that poor girl to come home and find the horse that she probably loved dearly and worked very hard on was gone, and she didn't even get some kind of compensation. Money is cheap in comparison to a beloved horse but at least it's something. If she had a little money she might have been able to buy another horse sooner, or even buy him back.

  • @McKeeMargie It's a waste because his owner did not give consent and because the horse is clearly talented and the owner could probably have gotten a good sale price for him--if she chose to sell him. How would you like it if you went off to school and came home to find your horse gone? And a lease is a GREAT option; I did that with my ponies when I went to college. With a horse like him she could easily have found one. I agree horses should get attention but you don't have to give them away!

  • @Kolibri2005 I don't understand why it's a waste. Wouldn't it be more of a waste if his owner was away at college and couldn't spend the time that he deserves??

  • @ChloeRosie14 Why wouldn't you give him away for free if it was to a good home? What's the difference between giving him away and getting paid for him? Why don't you grow up. I sincerely hope you have kids one day and someone calls you (as somebody's mother) a bitch. Such disrespect for some else's mother that you don't even know, is disgusting.

  • what a bitch. why would you give him away for free

  • Omg! He is really talented and could be worth loads! I wouls KILL my mum if she did that!

Good luck replacing a one-in-a-million horse!

  • Read the description...That is HORRIBLE OH MY GOD. I would never speak to my mother again EVER if she did that. What a waste too. He looks like a talented warmblood, and he was very cute dressage (before he bucked you off ;-) Hope you fall in love with a new one soon and that he is doing well in his new home.

  • beautiful horse x

  • for free o-o holy shit, do you have another horse, or are you going to get another horse?
