A collection of nearly 300 still images taken in a 3 hour period on January 24th, 2007 and assembled to illustrate the movement of the stars through the northern sky. Notice that the North Star in the lower center of the frame remains in the same position as the earth rotates beneath it. The Big Dipper appears in the upper right corner.
