They said, that during the mid 90's the Fbodies became too expensive for the intended buyer. WTF, the GTO when it first came out was a outrageous price!!

Firebird started out as a sports car for young people. It's flashy styling, meant to appeal to young people, continued throughout it's production.

The GTO was about the same price as a top of the line Trans Am - and filled the same role as an 04 Trans Am would have. But it was very conservatively styled - more for "grown ups".

So, yeah it was expensive - just like the 02 Trans Am was. The difference is that the intended buyer for a GTO was older = wealthier.

I own the 06 monaro with about 10g spent on the performance i can't drive it on the roads anymore im other going to die or get locked up
