Does it have to be smooth stone/ cobble?? I know mobs spawn on dirt, but does stone have a higher rate of spawning? or does it not matter?

@gravijiga dirt is fine. So is wood. I do not think the material changes how fast they spawn.

Hey summons please reply I have a problem with spiders getting stuck right before the grinder part. Is there anyway to prevent them from getting stuck?
