Burma is a country that desperately needs our help. This video is about the human rights violations of the Burmese government/military dictatorship. They've starved the people and made them provincial. Not only that, they've always stopped democratic movements within their country. To find out more about it, please go to: benji7890.wikispaces.com for my essay and bibliography.

Many thanks to Ninjatune for usage of song: To Build a Home by The Cinematic Orchestra. This song had helped me alot personally and is my ideal song to translate the message.

Many thanks to Flickr and its users for the images

Many thanks to Causecast for the snippits of Aung San Suu Kyi's interview. Without the interview, it wouldn't have made my video powerful.

Thank you Blip.tv from Creative commons for the use of the newscast video from the British Satellite News

Please visit it and learn more about what's in stall for Aung San Suu Kyi in the coming years!
In 2010, there'll be another election held in Burma, which means another chance for the Burmese to obtain democracy. Help spread this video and this cause!

  • Where does this evil regime get all its obscene military hardware from ...

  • Westerners shouldnt fool themselves that burmese military is any different from any other military, all armies are similar weather it is to do with western armies burma or any other country in the world where army have any involvement of any sort in pollitical affairs are utter disaster and worst abuses of human rights ! every one should know their place ! and your security guard especialy should before he starts to act like a husband and starts to run your life remind him what his job is !

  • By having army running a country and making political decisions basicaly people who think it is okay to kill torchure rape stalk harrass beat are actualy running a state. and this is exactly what has happened in some countries in the world. politics is for politicians only ! rule is simple politicians run a country and army protects a country, it is as simple as that ! whenever this rule is broken there is a disaster !

  • And this is exactly why as a general rule of the thumb, an army of a country must never ever get involve in its politics, military folks are not suitable to run a country and they should stick to what they are paid to do, yes they can fight but to run a country is not their piece of cake, it is a lot to do with mentality, politics is for politicians, this is exactly what has happpened in countries like pakistan, iran, america where military is too involved in its politics.

  • Thanks for video

  • Thank you, Ben. Your work raises my awareness of the situation in Burma, provides me information channel I could learn more and also calls for action. Good job!

  • Hi Ben,

My daughter and I know you from ASIJ.

You've done a great job on this film and most important, it is very convincing. Sincerely hope there'll be a revolutionary change in 2010.
