i really wish they kept him for the other movies...I'm not a big fan of Dooku/Tyraunnus.
Maul was everything you could want in a sith; skilled, powerful, and silent!

darth mauls death was the worst in all movie history except broly's. i mean come one, obi-wan was damn lucky there was something to hang from in that vent. DAMN lucky. but then again, odds are maul wouldve lost to him anyway. (people reading this probably panicking i said this) because from second 1 maul was fighting 2 jedi, after a while its just him and qui-gon, in the meantime obi-wan had all the time in the world to relax, have a coffee, get energy back. maul was probably tired at the end

from what ive heard, not sure if im right, but apparently dauth maul outlives lukes lifetime, so he survives all through the saga and probably more...
