Actually,Peter knows how to play 10 instruments,Mike often states that Peter was great at it and was a musician before the Monkees,Mike knew how to play guitar,and Micky was in a band playing guitar before he got cast in the Monkees.Once the show started Peter taught Mickythe basics of drumming. On Headquarters,they did in fact write most of the material and they also played on most of the tracks.Deny this,but you can even look it up. Facts overule your opinion.(:

He was Circus Boy in the 1950s. He and none of The Monkees played instruments. It was ALL mimed!
