Graham Hancock, during this interview by David Wilcock, explains the Orontius Phines and Piri Reis maps.
One of the most intriguing pieces of evidence pointing to a forgotten period of time in human history is a series of ancient maps which show extremely accurate details of the Earth from at least 12,000 years ago. The Orontius Phineas, Piri Reis, and Mercator map all show parts of the Earth that were only present during pre-deluvian times, as well as inexplicably accurate drawings of the topography of Antarctica. These drawings of what Antarctica looked like beneath the ice, could only have been achieved if ancient man had technology at least equal to what we have today.

  • @explorerSG1 actually, geologists Rand & Rose Fle-math, put forth a very convincing argument that Antarctica is in fact "Atlantis". In fact, if you put Antarctica in full face view, taking a globe and doing so, you'll see an Island continent, surrounded by the ring of the World Ocean, surrounded by a ring of land... This is the ONLY place on the planet that describes Plato's Atlantis... Another interesting piece of info is that Antarctica's robot observatory (US, UK & Norway) is named PLATO

  • i think the key is in the sumerian history and the ancient writes.

  • Atlantis are the people of Noah

  • Classic conversation right here!

  • Unreal

  • I wonder if the group of 9 volcano produced islands called the "Azores" might actually be Atlantis itself? The Azores is just west of Portugal in the middle of the Atlantic ocean between North America and Europe. During WWII, the Azores was used as an landing base to refuel aircraft flying between both continent. Also during WWII, submarine detector planes were based at the Azores, and those planes patrolled the surrounding ocean for German submarine.
