  • uggg, Sounds like a lot of other people are in denial, Not the president. Grow up!

  • What a failure. Thank God the Republicans are coming in to make sure the rich will have that extra cash they desperately need to get their yachts an extra waxing next year while cutting social programs for the middle and lower class.

  • If we can agree on nothing else, it's that there is no better bill on the table. Where's your bill to expand coverage to 30 million Americans and control exploding costs of insurance, stop unfair denials and recissions, promote wellness and preventive care, and prolong the solvency of Medicare? No instead the Repubs just whine about cutting any dime from medicare fraud with their left hand while offering to destroy medicare with the Ryan plan on their right hand. No solutions, incoherent!

  • Wrong again. There is only one CBO and they say the bill saves $100B in 10 years, $1T in 20 years. All the spending is made up for by increased revenues. Unlike the Republican Medicare Part D bill. I don't want a free ride, I want to make the system work and I know it costs $ to get there. Why the dems can't pass it is a matter of politics, not policy. Riding in AF1 is not a giveaway, the president has the right to have meetings. You're just a dittohead.

  • CBO does not say that. "YOU LIE" as a dear congressman had the guts to say.

Ya, right...obstructionism, partisanship, & greed.JUST AMONGST THE DEMS? DUH. Your arguments are typical radical, not-listening left wanting a free ride.they don't make sense at all & they're false. Let's go back...answer this, Mr. Read-the-news,.WHY can't the Dems pass it yet & why for many votes, has it taken so many corrupt unfair deals & plane rides in AirForce1(that was time & $ well spent Mr.Obama&Mr. Kucinich).

  • Too bad, according to all the experts this is the best thing on the table for achieving the goals. The Republican proposal does not come anywhere close to the Dem plan in expanding coverage or even saving money in the long run (according to CBO). Politics is the art of the possible.

  • How can you say "we can't afford the bill" when the CBO says it is paid for an saves billions and trillions in the long run?

Why can't they pass it if it's so good? Because of obstructionism, partisanship, and greed. Duh, read the news, the process details are there for you to see.

  • Bottomline, the behind-the-door deals for just some states, the deals with the Unions, the twisting arms & THREATS against the Dems who are voting no, the attempts to rewrite the rules - are a very good indication of the lack of merit regarding THIS bill. It's sad that the minority of ppl wanting it really believe it will be free & the same quality we have now-neither of which will be true. I've heard of countless ppl who voted for Obama, & b/c of how he's handling this, regret their vote.

  • ASk your doctors what they think of it. They don't like it. The AMA is only 17% of drs& not a good representation. Another deal? Obama said abortion would not be funded w/this bill. You can research the Stupak/Waxman discussion where Waxman finally admitted they plan on paying for abortion. So, regarding trust, when what Obama has SAID is in or not in the bill is not factual, then how is 'not trusting' or 'not believing' abandoning debating substance?

  • substance? We can't afford the bill. No one really understands the bill, not even Obama. Obama keeps getting things wrong about the bill...so yes, I have a difficult time trusting his judgment. Why is it taking so long to get passed with the Dems IF IT IS SUCH A GOOD BILL? Why all the deals? Why the deals with the big Union guys? We need reform, but not THIS bill. The maj of US does NOT want THIS bill..how can this be right? It is not. Too bad the min who want it think it's free.
