How did he do that? He has tons of followers. He probably already had the bombs set up. He just needed his people to tie Dent and Rachel to the chairs.

I don't think the Dark Knight was that fantastic. It had little sense of pacing (like most modern movies), tried to pack too much in, and there were unexplained gaps (how did joker trap Dent and his girl friend in a death trap after he was caught?). But Heath Ledger was awesome, and everything you said about him was true; he single-handedly made the movie worthwhile.
