@Bekkant, What can you say? It smokes, but it's old enough. It is just a bad habit. It was made fashionable in the days of this bike by glamorous movie actors. Many are never able to quit.
too many people worry about the chromework more than the mechanicals when restoring a bike.....probably never gets ridden and taken to the bike show on a trailer....my filthy old 69 bonnie looks like agarbage truck, but starts first kick and just flies

Mine has never smoked (unlike me). This bike is a looker not a goer which is a shame because they can Goooooooooooooo!

All the oil has drained into the sump. Too much time spent polishing and not enough riding.
