FAITH (THE ONE REQUIREMENT)

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—

Romans 4:5 faith is credited as righteousness.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law

But without faith it is impossible to please him

So as long as I believe in Jesus Christ as God I get to go to heaven? Thats it, thats all I have to do? I dont have to be a good person or care about anyone but myself because all that matters is that I believe and I get rewarded?

@Farf420 If you believe that the only reason you are going to heaven is because JESUS died for your sins then YES...THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO!

Hebrews 11:1 Is such a powerful argument of philosophy! Most all people have a "faith" . Faith in itself is a testimony toward something and that something is God. So then the battle is God's to keep the deceiver away. Great preaching!  We are the body of the church and I believe God has endowed us with you tube to use our strengths to do our job as parts of that body.

@MereChristianLogic Yes Brother...I am very thankful for youtube. I am not able to travel to far away places to share the good news but through this modern technology it is possible. And even after I leave this world and go to glory, the video messages will continue telling the love story of our great SAVIOR/GOD...CHRIST JESUS.

@Farf420 When you become born again you will desire to follow Jesus and HIs teachings. Would you not be grateful for such a great gift of eternal life and spared from eternal hell? JEsus will renew your mind, give you a new heart and desire 2 please God. This is why we are told to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith. Works is separate from salvation. To recieve salvation is thru FAITH in Jesus alone. Salvation is RECIEVED not ACHIEVED. Even our faith is given to us by God and is a gift.

@Richucis So you believe in the Calvinist view of predestination? God decided beforehand that you would believe in him and that others would not believe in him and be tortured forever? So lets say hypothetically I have decided with my wife that we shall have 5 kids. The 1st & 5th kid we will treat with love and provide for all their needs and wants. The 2nd, 3rd & 4th kid we will lock in the basement and torture them in the most horrible ways imaginable. Would we make good parents?

@dpaul3614 Amen...thankfully Jesus made salvation so simple that even a little child can understand that it is a "gift".

And Jesus made it so easy that anyone can receive it, through "faith".
