@britethorn First of all Black people do not need HIM as an icon for hope. If they look at him only because he has a dark skin tone then they are doing something wrong politically. That is not how you vote. Second if a PRESIDENT fails a country does not fail. Jimmy Carter? What a fabulous flop. And the more partisan this idiot gets the bigger the right backlash will be. Try looking at things from the perspective of a black person. He gives them all a lot of hope, and a lot of them REALLY need some hope these days. Then try and imagine the burden of all that hope which Obama has to carry. Failure isn't really an option for him.
