  • Well after the weak claims of Palin beng qualified to be VP it's confirmed beyond doubt Republicans have a very skewed idea of what experience and qualified means.

  • @slimydick23 ...all the while ignoring that fact that Alito held the same views on that ability as Sotomayor. He had also stated his somewhat unique status as the child of immigrants gave him a unique perspective.

  • @kaysandesses

wanna know how GM paid their bailout money back? using MORE BAILOUT MONEY. IT'S BS! don't believe me? "do some research" yourself.

Just because someone doesn't support Obama's policies doesn't mean they supported GWB's. That's a weak excuse for Obama's out of control spending & expansion of government.. "oh well the repubs did it so we should do it too!"

These guys are taking the American people for SUCKERS, and folks like you are eating it up!

  • Good thing we have these comments. Without them, I wouldn't have known that giving billions to huge corporations is what socialism is all about. I think Marx also said something about how corporations of the world should unite...

  • @MrGnarus Banks? Car industry?

  • @asphyxiafeeling Had Obama not supported "bail-outs", our economy would be completely screwed. The large majority of loans to banks have been repaid with interest (somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 billion the last I saw), and GM has repaid a substantial portion of its loan, again with interest, 5 years ahead of schedule. Big government? Bush II was the de facto king of big gov, increasing the fed gov more than any President in decades. Do some research.

  • @ipxzor What good will it do to nominate someone who has little or no chance of being confirmed? Furthermore, it was the moderates and independents that elected Obama. If you look at his other appointments virtually all are centrists, as is Obama. Anyone who thought Obama was a stark raving mad liberal simply wasn't paying attention.

We don't need SCOTUS Justices who are there to serve a particular political ideology.

  • @JBeatty17 I think that she'll probably be confirmed too, but I don't think it will be "easy". The GOP Senators have to make a good show for their constituents especially considering it's an election year. We'll know more in a day or two. Kagan is making the rounds today with the key Senators in leadership positions.

  • Screw this Kagan woman and put in a proper progressive to counteract the right wing zealots they got at the moment.

  • How do they keep a straight face while saying this bullshit? Politicians are such scum. They'd make great popes.

  • @MrGnarus

He's not a FULL ON Socialist, but he clearly admires Europe's Socialist Democracy model.

    He has

Created a federal healthcare program, which will INEVITABLY lead to a single-payer system. He supported the bailouts, of banks, of car companies, of mortgage firms, and now foreign countries (we're helping bail out Greece). He's open to VAT. He's for big government. that's the biggest one. He honestly believes big government will be a good thing for America. that, in my eyes, is awful.

  • The republican party is self destructing. The powers that be want to eliminate the competition, so they are sabotaging the republican party with tea baggers.
