    a GOOD band is capable of a variety of sounds and their music changes & grows with them as artists.A good example is Green Day putting out an album as the Network (they were "incognito") because that was a sound they enjoyed and quite frankly, I LOVE that album.Growing up during the time they did, I can appreciate that. It wasn't uncommon at the beginning of the new wave/punk era for punk bands to do new wave or cross over songs. It just shows their flexibility.
