Patty's unfair to Charlie Brown in the end. He didn't say he thought that would happen. He only said he'd like it to.

@discodaggett They played worse than he ever did. I never noticed that, though it's unfair of Lucy to yell at Charlie Brown for dropping the ball when she has so much trouble even catching them. If they played worse than he did, it's funny that the team would win whenever he was absent for whatever reason.

@strudel89 Why should he be interested in Patty when she's always giving him a hard time about things?
-
@mammato2 I didn't see it.

Peppermint Patty+Charlie Brown=AWESOMENESS!!!!
I've heard a lot of versions of this song, many of them by vastly superior adult vocalists, but this remains my all time favorite. I think it's because Patty expresses herself so well even when she's sort of just saying the lines (i.e. "Show me where it hurts, I'll tell you how to make it well.") which is so much more than a lot of the singers I've heard who forced perfect melody into every syllable, but forget to act the song as well. This song is meant to be performed, not just sung. Great.

@discodaggett You hit the nail right on the head, that's exactly why I love this version over the "professional" version. Sounds way more genuine to Peppermint Patty's character, and less like "I'm singing on Broaaaaaaaaaaaadwaaaaaaaaaaay!"
