The Wandering Gunmen are a supergroup made out of mutual love for blues and alternative forms of country that were less explored by its members' main bands. Rusty Buford, also the singer of My Hemi, and Raymond Lee, guitarist of The Moor Lights, came up with the idea backstage during a festival in Chicago. The two talked about their shared tastes and decided that they should work together. Wesley Albright, bassist of Infamous Heroes, was approached to join them and he expressed interest in the project, along with the entirety of his band. However, Wesley was the only one free at the time, so he was the only one to work with the band. After coming up dry looking for drummers, Raymond asked the drummer from the Moor Lights, Simon McAuley if he wanted to do it. Even though Simon never expressed interest in the type of music the band wanted to play he said, "Sure."

The band released its genre-breaking album to much critical acclaim and put on a short tour hitting select venues in North America and Europe. Whether they will record together again depends on the members' schedule, but all have said they would love to do it again.

"Time Bomb" is from the band's self-titled album. Music by Raymond, Simon, and Wesly. Lyrics by Rusty and Raymond. This video was recording during a concert as the Echo Hanger in Austin, Texas. "Time Bomb" is notable as being the first time Simon McAuley ever participated in the writing process. His influence is clearly evident by the punk sound being mixed with the country/rock tone of the song.
